Today I forgot my bag at a restaurant, full of just about every electronic I own, and didn’t realize until much later. While I definitely panicked, Ethiopia is the only country on earth where I would feel confident that my stuff would still be there. Low and behold, when I ran back they smiled and said don’t worry, we have it.
I’ve left smaller things behind before and every time the wonderful people in this giant city hold onto it for me. Another reason why we feel safer in Addis than anywhere else.
